What is a house concert? House concerts
are rapidly becoming the most popular way to enjoy acoustic music.
At a house concert, listeners enjoy the music of talented artists
in an intimate, "up-close and personal" setting. House concert
enthusiasts rave about hearing great music in an informal, smoke-free
atmosphere, while relaxing on cozy couches, next to the fireplace,
in someone's living room. Hosts enjoy having their favorite performers
stay and eat with them in their home (not to mention the kudos they
get from their friends for throwing the best party on the block). Musicians
have said that they get the most attentive audiences they've ever had
while making more money than they do in bars or cafés. The
hours are excellent and the accommodations included. It's a win-win
situation

Cost? Suggested donation of $5-$15 (More if you can...less if you
can't). CDs will be for sale. ALL proceeds go to the artists.
How long is a house concert? Guests arrive for seating and refreshments
and then the performers will entertain for approximately an hour and a
half then back to socializing! This is a sit-down concert, so please consider,
if you choose to bring children, whether they will be able to enjoy the
show without distracting other guests.
Food and Drink? Hors doeuvres, wine, beer, soda are welcomed and
provided.
Andrea Whaley graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston
this past spring with a diploma in Professional Music. As she
walked across the stage to receive her degree, she shook the
hands of speakers Aretha Franklin and Melissa Ethridge and then
received a warm hug from Roger Brown, President of Berklee. Andrea's
song "We Are All Connected" had been hand carried to
the women of Darfur by Roger Brown's wife, Linda Mason. This
same song was then performed this past spring with Berklee's
gospel choir and band at the Rally for Darfur in Washington DC
on the mall‚ before 60,000 people. Having just returned from
three weeks in Ghana, Africa, Andrea is attending classes at

Rachel Loy whose accomplishments include the Billboard-charting
hit song released by Sony Epic, a live performance on NBC's Today
show and CNN, and becoming the first full-time female Berklee
College
of Music student to be awarded a major record deal. She graduated
from Berklee in three years with honors in 2004, having attended
on a full scholarship for electric bass. She is currently the
